3. Columbia TriStar logo 'Saawariya' was the first Indian Production carrying the legendary Columbia TriStar logo. 'Saawariya' was released and co-produced by Columbia TriStar, a division of Sony Pictures Entertainment, on 9 November 2007.
Trivia : After 'Saawariya', Sony Pictures has produced two more Hindi movies: Meerabai Not Out (2008) & Straight (2009). Both fared miserably at the Indian Box Office.
4. Actress Begum Para Veteran Actress Begum Para played the role of Actress Sonam Kapoor's grandmother in 'Saawariya'.
Trivia : Begum Para is the wife of Actor Nasir Khan who played the role of Jumna in 'Ganga Jumna' (1961). Nasir Khan was the younger brother of Thespian Dilip Kumar.
Actor Ayub Khan is Begum Para and Nasir Khan's son.

Films A scene in the film (and a poster) shows Ranbir Raj (Ranbir Kapoor) and Sakina (Sonam Kapoor) posing in a waltz-like manner, with the letters RK from a lighted sign in the background.
