Trivial Pursuit 57

Federico García Lorca, Spanish Poet, Dramatist and Theatre Director.

A Hindi film released in 1991, is based on Federico García Lorca's Spanish play "The House of Bernarda Alba" (Spanish : La casa de Bernarda Alba).

The film is unique because it has only female Actors on screen. There are no male Actors in the film.

It is the story of a matriarch, whose husband has just died, leaving behind five unmarried daughters. They are cloistered together in a house, with little room for fulfillment and a great deal of bitterness.

All action takes place in a single habitat. Only three colours; Black, Maroon and Off White are used throughout the film. The film was shot on 16mm and later blown up to 35mm. Original music composer is Mrs. Ila Arun. There is no background music in the film.
